I'm looking for a .50 or .54 cal TC Scout. I would prefer one of the special edition Cody Scouts or a Texas Scout, but will settle for a normal scout. If anyone happens to know where I can find one of these please let me know!!! Thanks!

They're neat: I have both a carbine and a pistol in .54. Man, serious medicine!



I'd advise keeping an eye on Gunbroker . . . and also cruising your local stores. I'd wanted a .54 pistol for twenty years and wound up paying $90 for mine in a local store. I think I gave under $150 for the carbine (delivered) through GB.

A .54 caliber TC Scout pistol just sold in the last few weeks on GB for $650, but I also recently snaged what I thought was a very good deal on one for much, much less.
I'm much more interested in the pistols, but I assume the OP is interested in the long gun version. Is that correct? Im willing to forward on any sighting.

The special editions are quite a bit harder to locate than I was expecting.

I've got one that is identical to Erich's carbine but in 50 caliber, very, very accurate, in fact I've got the original box it came in around here somewhere, along with the test target for 3 rounds fired at 100 yards. Very impressive to say the least. Incidentally I was able to duplicate that target several times. BTW I bought mine thru "GunsAmerica" about 15-20 years ago.
