Do any members here own a Thompson Custom 1911 .45 ACP? I have seven 1911's and been thinking eight is enough.I mean i'm going to buy one more 1911,but can't make up my mind what brand name I want to buy.

I don't have a Thompson Custom 1911 but I am kind of curious what you have in the way of the seven 1911s you already own.

I bought mine in 2008-09, and have put over 10k down range with it.
The fit and finish compare favorably with Kimber.
I did have an issue with the slide stop not always engaging properly, made a phone call, received a new one in the mail about a week later, and got a follow-up email about 2 weeks later to ask if the problem was resolved.
It's still my alternate EDC.
Highly recommended.

Nah, eight 1911's is never enough. Time to branch out into other cartridges than 45 ACP in the 1911's.
I have a Thompson 1911, not a Custom model, from the 1990s. Basically a good pistol but it needed a little tune up to be reliable. Hopefully, since Kahr took over the brand they have improved the assembly of the 1911's.
