Thompson Venture in .223

I was looking at a couple of .223 bolt action rifles for Christmas and am a bit torn. I was looking at the Savage 10FP, Savage 12FV, and Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 but somebody suggested the Thompson Venture. I would be using this rifle for target shooting and plinking out to about 450 yards. What is the best gun out of these three? Thanks!

I bought a TC Venture in .223 for my daughter and am not real impressed with it. Not a bad little gun but not a long range accuracy shooter. I would go with the Savage 12FV if I were to do it over again.
