Yup! Finally broke down and bought a P30SKS. Just couldn't resist the call of the subcompact any longer.

Nice man. I'm waiting for funds to manifest and then I want to pick up an LEM version with night sights. Congrats.

Thanks. I ought to try a LEM-equipped model one of these days, but I sort of like the clunky old H&K DA/SA triggers.

My HK45 has a traditional DA/SA trigger and I always considered it to be just fine, though heavy in DA. However, I handled a LEM P30SK not too long ago, and I was really impressed by the feel of the trigger. I have even been considering changing my HK45 over to a LEM trigger system, but since I shoot that gun well enough in DA and SA, I guess there is no real need.

I have absolutely no need for another carry gun, but I really want one of these.

Congrats!

I've got to get a chance to check one out, or the P2000SK.

The only think that puts me off on the idea is the number of guys I read about with the "SKs" looking to use a grip extension. I already carry a standard P2K without an issue, slide/barrel length isn't a real issue anyway. If I do get an SK, and not like the shortened grip, by adding and extension and using standard mags I'll be essentially right back where I am now....

It's funny because when I can't carry a larger pistol I carry a Walther PPS with the 6rd mag in, and shoot it with my pinky under the mag. Haven't managed to find either SK to try yet....

460Kodiak, you need to try the LEM!! the more I shoot mine the more I appreciate it in a defensive pistol. I'm using my P30L (V0 LEM) in a defensive class now, and by prepping the LEM during count 4 of my draw stroke as if it was a standard DA, it gives nothing up to a SA or striker trigger. It really is a unique trigger system. I won't do another DA/SA gun.

Yep, I'm still contemplating making the switch.

Regarding your concern about the P30SK grip, I wear XL gloves and found that my pinky wrapped around the bottom very naturally, just like on my XDS. I don't really think a pinky extension is needed. A full grip is certainly preferable, but of course, less concealable. If you were going to carry a spare mag, you might as well carry a full size P 30 mag anyway.

Nice. I have owned 9 HKs over the years, and I currently have two right now (P2000 and P2000sk)

I was going to buy one until I confirmed the surefire
xc1 didn't fit. That took away a lot of the appeal for me.

Today, I was looking at a P30SK with a "V1" Light LEM trigger variant, which I think is a PERFECT trigger for a carry gun, this was much better than the "V3" DA/SA trigger variant on my own P30!

Nice collection.

I picked up a P30 SKS yesterday - my second HK handgun (HK45). Could'a done without the safety but all is good.

Got the night sights on mine - not sure they are worth the $100 (msrp) premium though.

OP - You shoot it yet? I plan on taking mine out tomorrow.

Cheesemaker, no, I haven't yet. Just had too much else going on. Did you?

Vaupet, I've never even seen a P9, don't know anything about them.

+1.

The best HK.

Sorry, it was supposed to copy the comment about an HK collection without a P7.

OOPS!

I know, I know. But the children have been keeping me busy, and the guns will be around, but the kids won't be this little for long.
