I've seen several posts somewhat related to this but thought I'd go ahead and ask directly. I'm looking for a pistol for concealed carry (almost certainly IWB) in .40. I have both a Series 80 .45 and an XDM .40 that I love and I COULD use one of them for CC but then I wouldn't have an excuse to get another gun.
I'm currently trying to decide between the G23, the .40 XD and the P250. My local range doesn't have a rental P250 but I rented a P229. I've also shot the G23 and I'm comfortable with the XD. I'm a pretty fair shot with all three, and all three fit my hand fine. I can get any of the three (23, XD and 250) for about the same price. All seem to be more or less the same weight. I love the feel and trigger of the P250 but not crazy about DAO and the longish reset. I reload, and while I'm VERY careful and don't load really hot .40s for the range, the KB issue (tied to Glock's design) worries me a bit. I had a G22 for a number of years and reloaded for it without any problems, however.
So, thoughts/advice/completely biased opinions about which would be best? I suppose I could throw the P229 into the mix but it's more money and quite a bit heavier. But it's purty.
