It manages to be a pretty weapon, without being ostentatious. It feels rugged and well built. The fact that it is the only O/U shotgun built in the USA (Savage may have started making one here too) is nice. What do you shotgunners think?

Generally heavy triggers. Though Brownings have generally heavy triggers too.

They're a bit heavy in 20 Gauge at over 7 lbs. A comparable Citori or Cynergy from Browning is under 7 lbs.

They open easier than a Citori.

They're plain looking compared to the Brownings I see.

However, I'll take plain looking over fake "Super Ultra-Grain" wood or a neon blue anodized receiver or harsh euro-trash lines :barf:

If you find one that fits you well, they're not a bad shotgun :)

Enlighten me. What other o/u shotguns are built here? I'm not talking about $15k hand made ones either.

THAT would be wrong, but maybe about affordable to some

This sentence makes no sense. Please translate into English. Thanks.

The last sentence means that Rugers have a quality issue with their shotguns, no matter what their fans of handguns think. Their casting process, it seems, does not give them the tight tolerances on a regular repeat basis to build a quality over-under.

They open WAY too easily, meaning they are not that tightly built.

Nothing wrong with 15K shotguns, although you could have bought CSMC's A-10 for about 4K in preproduction - now they will cost about 8K. A takeoff of the Beretta SO style, they are getting rave reviews

Us made o/u

ithaca receently came out with new o/u.Look like veeerrry nice shooters.$2000-3000 depending on grade.

Current web site does not have their "Phoenix" model O/U on it - they were having issues in much the same way Ruger did with their SxS (which they pulled and stopped making)
