After carrying and using this knife for the past six months here are my opinions.
First the materials and build quality are top notch even though mine is a factory blem. The torsion bar does rattle with the knife open, but repacking it in grease will solve that. It has never failed to fire open. The frame lock is still solid with no lock rock or movement at all. The dlc coating is tough. It has scratched a little and is slightly worn on the edges and high spots on the blade. The S30V blade takes and holds a great hair popping edge. The only minor chipping I have had is because of me cutting stuff I shouldn't have. The sharpmaker brought the edge back just fine. Ergonomics are good.Fits my medium/small hands perfectly. I dk not notice any hot spots after prolonged use.
I have used this knife to cut everyting that needs cutting. String, food, wood, carpet, metal cans, wire, paper etc... It did its job. I haven't babied this knife. It is just a tool to me. I have done things with it that are beyond a folders intended purpose. I have pryed a locked car door frame open enough to slip in a bent car antena. And yes I have battoned it to split kindling.The only damage I have been able to cause is the loss of about 1/8" of the tip when it came into contact with a running lawn mower blade. Don't ask...
I love this knife. But if does have a few cons. I do not like the pockef clip. The knife sits too high for my taste so I removed it and carry in my back pocket. This knife is heavy. I wear jeans so the sag isnt that bad, in slacks it might be a problem. It is not a slicer. If cutting stuff into paper thin slices is on your to do list carry a second knife like a SAK (I do ). It is not a non knife people friendly knife. I live in a rural area and have a blue collar job so it isn't an issue for me. Pull it out in an office setting and you might have to go see HR.
Overall I am impressed with this knife and it will remain my daily carry.
