Thoughts on these? (Ultrasonic cleaner and mini tumbler)

I tried the Hornady small sonic cleaner, and I was dissapointed. Only brass in one small section of the space would get really clean, so I had to run the unit over and over again many times and move the brass around to get them all clean. I have since bought the Franklin Arsenal SS wet tumbler, and I'll never look back.

^ This is what I've heard about the smaller sonic cleaners and is the reason I asked about the larger 7 liter Hornady ultrasonic. I'd imagine the larger size means it's got more power to it to clean brass.

I was hoping to get a response from others here, but it seems no one has used it before.

I think the issue with the smaller sonic cleaners is people load too much brass in them, don't use hot enough water, and the machines are not that powerful.

Some people love sonic cleaners. I can't figure out why.

Cheep tumblers. I guess.

I can't remember what I payed for my Lyman.
It's been running so long I can't even remember when I got it.
Buy once cry once.
I would get a Lyman based on the stories of them running for many years except newer purchasers are complaining they are not lasting even several years now. I don't think you can recommend Lyman based on what bought umpteen years ago now. Sad to see great products decline.

I have a smart loader Niagra falls. At least a cheap tumbler can be replaced every 3 years or so if need be. If a Lyman/$$$ tumbler only lasted that long I would be pissed.

The Rcbs 3l sonic is awesome. I really like it. The features are like the 6/7l competitors without the sonic fluid increased usage. Drain tuber, etc.. I don't have positioning problems and don't need to stir or rotate brass.

That RCBS isn't so bad. Larger capacity than the 2L Hornady and about the same price. I'll have to look into it more. Thanks for the recommendation.
