I have an AMT 25/22 (Ruger 10/22 clone) that is a reasonably fun shooter. Been debating a different barrel and trigger group recently. Adding up the mods, a rough total is in the $500 range.
One of the local shops has the Volquartsen Ultralite .22LR for $900. A bit spendy though modding the AMT is halfway into the Volquartsen. I don't know how well the receiver of the AMT is going to accept the 10/22 parts. It should in theory but there may be some slight tolerances in manufacturing that leaves some unknowns mainly the barrel and bolt.
Thoughts?
