Three piece cleaning rod vs. one piece....

I don't know. That's why I started this thread. Very few of us are born with a rifle in one hand and a cleaning rod in the other. We learn from others. If the "others" are just passing on what they were told, it doesn't make it necessarily true.

With the price of fuel and ammunition, a lot of shooters starting out don't need the added expense of gimmicks because they fear for their barrel integrity. Especially, when one rod costs as much as an entire kit.

There is good information in these posts with regard to technique vs. rod type, sectional rods that flex possibly causing damage, etc. Thank you all, for your contributions.
