I had the day off Thursday and paid both of them a visit. I had been interested in a set of these grips for my CZ PCR, so this was my first stop. Angus Hobdell laid out a selection of grips, I picked some, and he installed them along with some stainless screws that I requested. These grips feel great - they are thinner and flatter, without the palm swell or tacky surface, enabling me to get a better grasp on the trigger. Although the color and grain looks a little out of place on an otherwise somber, all-black gun, I can't complain about their function. :)

I asked him about some night sights for it and he said the front was no problem, but there would be a gap in the slide dovetail with an aftermarket rear. He also said he could drill the existing rear sight and install tritium ampoules in it. Following the old adage, "If you have to ask, you can't afford it," I didn't ask what that would cost. ;) I had had previous experience with online ordering from there (some rubber-covered magazine floorplates,) and received them in a timely manner.

About two miles away from there was Glockmeister. About two months ago I had them install some night sights on my G19 at a gun show. Recently I discovered that the front sight "winked out." I didn't have the receipt and couldn't even remember precisely when I had it done, but she took my word and replaced the sight in a few minutes, no questions asked.

It's always good to see reports of satisfactory experiences with companies in this industry. I've been satisfied with my few Glockmeister dealings too.

I don't see what the big deal with Ghost Products is. Just 'cause they are experts at the CZ line, give personal service to their customers and have moderately fast service (I mean, I ordered once on Tuesday and had to wait till Friday for my stuff to show up), and have products you can't find anywhere else - oh wait...

Seriously, it's a top notch outfit - reminds me I need to order a bunch of goodies for my new 75 Stainless.

That's good to hear! I want to get some meprolights installed on a g26 and glockmeister has good prices and said they'll install them free if I send in my slide. Wish they were local but i'll deal without the gun for a while I suppose.

Well, if I spent all my money on a good camera, I wouldn't have anything left over for nice grips or a gun to put them on, now, would I? :p

Here is a picture of some CZs with these grips. Mine are fully checkered, not half checkered like those.

Night sights seem to have a high "infant mortality" rate with me. This is the second time one has "winked out" on me. (The first was a Novak on a SIG 1911.)
