Was thinking about getting a new trigger group for my AR. I like the look of the skelatonized trigger on the Timney AR15 drop in trigger group.

The reviews on Midway USA website are all good.

Anyone have this and if so how do you like it?

I would love to answer that but Colt in fears of being sued has felt it necessary to put that stupid damn sear block on my AR so I can not know what a nice crisp trigger pull on my AR feels like :fire:

I can't comment on the Timney, but
...so I can not know what a nice crisp trigger pull on my AR feels like
causes me to relate that I've got JARD triggers in both of my Colts, so yes, you can get a nice crisp trigger in your Colt AR.

I just put one in my target AR but have not tried it at the range. Installation, however was pretty easy so long as you install selector/safety BEFORE locking down the trigger group. Also, I was advised to use some blue Loc-Tite on the set screws that brace the Timney. Still gotta do that too...

I am aware that a number of distributors have pulled them from inventory as has Brownells due to reliability problems.
There were reports of them doubling after so many rounds. I think Timney had gone back to the drawing board on this trigger. They are supposed to work out the problems and get them back out on the market ASAP.
I don't know what Midway is selling, if they're new manufacture then great, if they're old inventory then I say hold off.

I have one (not skelatonized) in my Bushmaster E2S. I works great. With the new trigger pull, my groups have really shrunk. I really like mine.:D

They are the new ones; the old ones went out of stock about 18 months ago and the new ones hit the shelves about 5-6 months ago.

I just put one in a Bushmaster Predator but have not had a chance to fire more than 30-40 rounds since. Have been told that the doubling problem has been corrected and have experienced none so far.

As Full clip stated:

a step eliminated in the instructions that came with the trigger.

I did have one issue with this new trigger at the range. I was single loading the rifle, but to check for doubling, would release the trigger and pull again on an empty chamber to be sure the rifle had not "doubled". When trigger pulled after firing, nothing happened but, when trigger released a loud click was heard (this occured after each of 15 or more shots). Upon pulling trigger again, hammer would fall. Figured the click was the disconnect releasing hammer and verified this visually. A bit of moly grease on the surfaces of disconnect and hammer resolved the problem before next range session.

That's great, then I wouldn't hesitate. You might also consider the McCormick single stage trigger https://www.chipmccormickcorp.com/ar15-trigger-group.html
or the ultimate AR trigger in many people's minds the Geissele high speed.
Geissele is also coming out with a non adjustable trigger based on their USSOCOM model that'll retail for around $145 sometime this fall.
If it were me, and this is my opinion only, I'd wait for the Geissele.

Are they the new one's from Brownells? They are about 30 bucks cheaper.

If I may slightly divert the thread.....

I'm considering building an AR-15, and am wondering which is the best trigger for reliability/accuracy, the Timney, McCormick, or Rock River Arms? What do the experts here use and why?

I was refereing to the Timney triggers. As soon mentioned the newer one's were better.
