South Natomas Home Covered With Sheet Metal

http://www.thekcrachannel.com/news/4512146/detail.html

A home in Sacramento's south Natomas neighborhood is surrounded by sheet metal, and neighbors are calling it an eyesore.

The D'Souza family lives in the home on Timberwood Court, and claims the aluminium pieces are necessary to protect them from unknown neighbors who have been bombarding them with radio waves...The D'Souzas said the bombardment began after the first anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks

This is absolutely gun related...given the number of times "tin foil hat" appears!

There's a guy down the road a couple miles who sided his house in some sort of aluminum plates that IIRC he recycled from some sort of printing operation (?). At least that's what I was told.

Anyway, it is definitely an "Alcoa" house :D

I don't have a problem with the guy putting aluminum on his house ... heck, Aluminum Siding can look real nice.

I have a problem with the piss poor quality of his workmanship :neener:

Doesn't he realize that the gaps in his aluminum will allow the radio waves to get through? :scrutiny:

Neighbors can whine all they want, it's not their property and they don't have to look. I don't care if the person doing it is a nutcase or not, it's their right to do what they want with their property.

Those poor people. That looks like reg'lar ole galvanized tin to me. Useless agin radar, if it is...

Grand Inquisitor,

I'm a small "l" libertarian. :) Registered R, and generally vote it. But I think we should all leave one another alone.

I'd like to say that I think calling the Statue of Liberty (as decent a symbol of liberty as I can think of off the top of my head) a government building is sort of picking a nit. There are far better snide things to say about the big-L Libertarian Party. :neener:

Looking at the link to the story, at first I thought it was The Krac Channel :D

Guess my metallic headwear is a bit loose...or is it that I'm 'not wrapped too tight'

P.s. Don't forget to install that Farraday Shield around the inside walls :D

Anything about the minimum number of dogs on the front porch?
I think that should read "Anything about the minimum number of dogs UNDER the front porch?
