NAA Mini-Revolvers are Great Guns!
.22 magnum is effective. Yes they are loud, and the ammunition costs more than .22 long rifle.
My personal favorite is the .22 ling rifle with 1 1/8" barrel.
I do recommend sending in to NAA for the lanyard loop.
For ME the .22 long rifle is less expensive allowing more quality practice.
This ammo is available anywhere, and all one does is find the loads their particular shoots POA/ POI and use those for carry loads.
Now I often use CB longs when introducing new shooters with these guns, less noise, recoil and the focus in on safety and technique. These loads are effective for pests in the garden too.
Now I and others have used these worn around the neck and in deep concealment crotch holsters.
Another gun is a Beretta Jetfire, this one being .25ACP, What I and other miss not being on the market is the Beretta Minx, that fired .22 short.
Well made guns that deep conceal well, great triggers, accurate and reliable.

The NAA is one of the most well made guns on the market today. I use a .22lr version loaded with Stingers. If I were to buy a new one I'd probably get the .22Mag with another cylinder in .22lr but mine came used and very cheap so it's not a priority. The magnum frame is a tad bit larger than the lr version.

I have the NAA Mini-Magnum w/ the 1 1/8 inch barrel. Yes, it does more than make a loud noise (and boy, with .22Mag, it is freakin' loud. Louder than my .45, I'd guess).
I have used different loads, but in .22 WMR, I like the CCI Maxi-Mag +V TNT hollowpoints. In .22LR, I like the CCI Stingers.
However, when I'm using it for a backup piece, I feel more confident with a load that will penetrate more. I will usually carry with Federal 40-gr. FMJs.

I got a mini a year or two ago and it is so small it is always in a pocket - I almost forget it! I went for the double option but have not used the 22lr cyl at all yet. I also chose the 1 5/8 barrel.
I only keep std Maxi-Mags in mine but rumor has it that MV out of the Mini with these is on a par with a 22lr out of a rifle. So maybe around 1200 or so - and have yet to chrono to find out for sure.
They are fun to shoot and with right technique very manageable despite being so diminutive. Nicely engineered too. ''Bad breath'' use for these

I have two, one is the .22 magnum with 1-1/8" barrel and the other is a
.22LR with the same barrel length. I use to tote 'em quite often as a BUG,
but after acquiring a NIB Seecamp LWS-32 (and a NIB KEL-TEC P3AT), I
see no need of lugging them around~! They have been relegated to the
"Old Safe Queen Guardian" duty.

I had one and sold it.
Are you aware that you have to unlatch the cylinder and take it out to load it?
Also if the hammer does not sit in the notch, it could fire if you dropped it.
And it is not easy to uncock.

My late father carried one (in .22 Mag) all the time and thought highly of it. I did not care for it much, as I couldn't hit with the thing and it shattered my eardrums when I touched one off without plugs in my ears. He could however make pretty good hits with it. Surely it was the man, not the machine.
It is a heck of a neat gun though. I might consider getting one in .22LR as a backup to my backup.

I have one, correction, I had one in 22mag 1 5/8" barrel. Mine was a dealer special with a min XS big dot night sight (no kidding). I say had one because my wife claimed it, looking for another one for myself.
It's really well made. It's a last resort gun but still better than a two barrels Derringer...

I had one with the 1 1/8" barrel in .22mag. Mine has the "holster" grips....the gun folds into them covering the trigger and they have a clip on the back. Look just like a pocket knife clipped in your pocket.
Then I bought a KelTec P3AT.....and found I never carried the little NAA anymore. The KT was the same size as my NAA (the holster grips add some bulk) and I prefer the KT reload to the NAA.
I sold it to fund a Walther P22 for my wife....which she really, really likes.
Never had a problem with the gun though, nice little piece.
I may pick one up in the future again, you never know.

No doubt that the naa mini's are very well made. I've tried all kinds of ammo thru the .22mag with the 1 1/8" bbl. Never could get anything to expand, but on the rare occasions I carry that gun it is loaded with fmj. You can visit their website naaminis.com (I think) and they show the velocities, but like I said, don't expect any expansion - just not enough velocity.
I've always thought they looked neat but how much more concealable do they turn out being than something like a p3at? Oleg's picture is great but some testimony is always helpful I have big hands and always figured if I got one I'd have to get the one with the bigger grips...which if I get the bigger grips I might as well carry a pistol that cocks itself if its just as concealable.

I don't have one... YET! But I do have a High Standard .22WRM derringer which isn't a whole lot bigger, but only two shots. The noise and muzzle blast out of those little barrels is impressive, to say the least.
It might be worth trying a different grip position. With my derringer, I let my index finger hang out and pull the trigger with my middle finger. That works better for me. Give it a shot (no pun intended).
I was given an older model in .22 LR as a gift and carried it for years. It was (at least in my book) far more accurate than it had any right to be. I foolishly sold it when the grip cracked and I couldn't find a replacement. About two years ago, I acquired one of the newer versions in 22 LR. Couldn't hit anything with it and tried probably a dozen different types of ammo. Unacceptably horrible accuracy with everything. Sold it quickly. Did notice on it that the barrel seemed poorly made - thicker on one side than the other. Might have been a fluke that sneaked through quality control. Now having said that, I'm probably just about to buy another. Want something to stick in my pocket for these dangerous times in which we find ourselves. I'll give the next one a thorough inspection before the purchase however.

The proper ammo is the CCI 30grain 22Magnum fodder...either the +V or +V-TNT. The latter *might* expand, the former pretty much won't...but they have some heat on 'em, generally 1,200fps from a 2" tube, not much loss with the shorter NAAs.
I had the 22LR/22WMR with a 1 5/8" barrel. Nicely made. Super easy to carry inside a pocket even with the holster. Lots of fun at first but it's really a belly gun made for up close and personal. A bit difficult to hang on to, cock and fire accurately with one hand even after a lot of practice. All the oversize grips they sell for it actually defeat the purpose of the gun's original size. If you have extra dough to fool with, it's a nice-to-have in my opinion. But I traded it in and got a super small semi-auto instead.
