Im planing on doing indoor 22lr bullseye league. This will be my 1st time. I been doing some strength training to help with holding my pistol steady. Im doing pushups, curls and shoulder raises. Any other exercise recommended? I still need to take out my pistols and see what one(S) are most accurate at 50 feet. And what ammo works best for each gun. I have a SW victory, a 22A1, Ruger mk3,4 and a 22/45 all target models. Browning buck-mark and 2 Colt 1911 rail guns. Is there any limits on velocity allowed? Thanks Al.

Hi Al,

For 50ft, choose the gun that best fits your hand. Accuracy will not be an issue.

Being a league, I'd assume you won't shoot more than 90 shots, so stamina shouldn't be an issue for long, if at all.

If suggest dry firing a lot. Just when you think you're focusing on the front sight as much as you can, then work to double that focus.

Sorry, was a little short in suggesting the gun to use. Make sure you choose the one you know functions your ammo well too. Makes it harder to focus on the front sight when you're worried about stove pipes, FTEs, FTFs, etc.

Far more alibis happen in 22 than the bigger calibers since we have so much less control over ammo.

Im leaning towards my Colt rail guns. They feel like they balance the best to me. Next decent day i'll take all my pistols out. And try them. With some different 22 ammo i have on hand. I have a ton of the winchester 555 bulk. Hoping they work well. The Federal auto match i have a decent amount of too.

That is strange, an instructor is a class room teacher. A Certified RSO obviously makes more sense.

Pick gun with best trigger, if league happens. Trigger most important in timed & rapid.

This made our wed night shoots more interesting. Put all skill levels on the same footing. Marksmen to high master.

Get some of these

Ammo, it is hard to go wrong with CCI standard velocity. Of course that is open to debate and discussion if you want to spend more,
