Tips For Transactions Online

I have never used GunsAmerica or Gunbroker,but Im at the point where I want to start doing so.I have read through the Fac sections yet still Id like some points and suggestions from you to ease my worries.

For one,I notice that many sellers ask for a money order or certified check.Am I suppose to send this before I receive the item?How can I protect myself from possibly being ripped off?What are some tips for best handling the money transfere to make sure everything is done smooth and correctly?

I have a FFL store that has agreed to handle my transactions,now I must learn the ins and outs about having a good positive transaction both for me and the other party.
