Had a bit of time on my hands so I just signed up for JFPO, GOA, also gave a NRA membership to a bud of mine.
Would have given more memberships but didn't have addresses.

I think it's a great thing to do. Increases the rolls, easy, and always a great idea for people that are hard to buy for or you're not able to see. Most guys will also renew once you get them rolling.
Also, great to sign up liberal friends for these things
The NRA even has a mag directed to women.
Just a thought.
May help with the assault weapons ban if they see the rolls increase enough. Might make them let it quietly die.
