Have been loading 40 cal. 165 gr. copper plated Berry's with Universal powder. Will run out of Universal soon. Have 2 lbs. of Titegroup on hand. Went to the Hodgdon site for loading data. They listed starting load of 4.5 grains but was not specific on what type of bullet. Need some input. Never used Titegroup before.

The #13 Speer lists 165grn Gold Dots with TG at 5.0 to 5.4grn. TG is really fast and because of this the load window is a very narrow 0.4grn. You'll want some very accurate and highly repeatable dispensing equipment.

Hey Chief, they list it as a 165 gr. Berb FP. :)

Are your bullets FP or HBFP? Either way, the load data would be the same, since they both have the same profile.

I've been loading 4.4 grs of TG under an Extreme 165 gr for years. Pleasant to shoot and very accurate.
