I recently picked up a pound to try in .45 auto w/200 gr lswc, what the heck, ain't nothin' else available.

I used Hodgdons data without concern. They've posted the data because they've done their testing and research. I don't quite understand the paranoia.

Anywho, they start with 3.6 grains, with 4.5 grains being max for the 200 gr swc. I started around the middle with 4.0 but was looking for something softer shooting for my wife. Backed it down to 3.8 and am SOLD on Titewad for this bullet. Meters excellent and is super consistent using the RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure with micrometer adjustment screw mounted on a Pro 2000.

Titewad burns cleaner than 231 reduced loads by a wide margin. Cycles a Springfield TRP and a Nighthawk Talon wonderfully. Shooting them through my wifes 625 JM is equally enjoyable. Out of habit I tap the spent cases on the bench to clear unburned 231. Nothing comes out of the Titewad cases.

Don't be afraid, like the container says, "A little goes a long way" :D
