I'd pass.
Try a little JB bore paste if you are going to try anything. I've run through a lot of barrels in several ARs shooting Highpower. I've quit worrying about breaking them in. They shoot great at first...then shoot even better after about 1000 rounds, then they slowly decline.
Right now I have an AR with about 1000 rounds on it that shot a 196X10 last time I was out. I shot two nines out the bottom and two out at nine oclock. If i held it, it shot them in the X ring. It cleaned 300. I hate to shoot it again until the Texas Championship or the Nationals at Camp Perry. I've been through this same exact process with five or six barrels over the years.
I'm Distinguished, High Master classified. Current TSRA Highpower Rifle Champion, et, et. All with an AR.
Skip the Tubb stuff.
