I bought a couple (actually a bunch) of reloading goodies for Christmas. Among my "gifts" was a Lone Wolf Barrel for my Glock (to avoid comments about don't shoot lead in a Glock) and a Lee TL356-124-TC .

My questions. Using Titegroup what is a good load for my 9mm for the TL356-124-TC coated with LLA. Also, I am assuming I should use a good Factory Crimp on this.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

I have loaded this bullet, and wrote below in another thread:

"Really like cast lead in 9mm, and for my guns that means sized .358". Some loads I like use Lee TL356-124-TC bullets cast from wheel weights that are water quenched, and chronographed from a Beretta M9 are:

4.0 grains Hodgdon International for 1130 fps

5.0 grains Unique for 1180 fps

4.3 grains of Power Pistol for 990 fps

4.2 grains WW231 for 1065 fps.

All function my pistol w/o any signs of hi pressure and reliably, with the Power Pistol load just at the point where any less will not reliably function. Unless I am shooting powder puff cast loads, I DO NOT like to go any faster than WW231, and I also don't reload bullets heavier than 124 grains."

Sure, you can use TG, just that for me I like to go a little bit to the right of the burning rate chart, and find WW231 and Unique VERY hard to beat.

For a point of reference I included a shot of how they look seated, and for my guns (even with long leades) I found 1.070" about as long as I could seat them. Oh yeah, I especially do not like a Lee factory crimp die when using cast bullets. I use mine sized .358", and want all the diameter I can get, and a "normal" TC die used lightly does the trick for me. Almost forgot. I do not reccomend casting these bullets with a soft alloy or non water quenched using WW. During the loading process, the bullets TL micro bands can be swaged way under size by the sharp internal 9mm case taper, and you will be shooting nothing but keyholes in larger groove diameter barrels, or horrible accuracy in tighter ones.
