Ha, it is 55 to nothing now! Gawd, what a stupid question to post on THR! :banghead: ;)

Relax fellas, the $300 Redhawk is sleeping soundly in my gunsafe as I write this :p . So I'm not totally stoopid. I'll clean it up tomorrow and take some pics to post. I probably won't get to shoot it for a couple more weeks, but that's alright, at least I've got it. When I do go shooting, I'll have to take it to the nearby indoor range nearby - makes big boom even bigger  . The DA trigger is nice and smooth with a good break, though there is more stacking than I am accustomed to, but I don't believe that will be an issue. SA is pretty gritty, but I shoot DA anyway, so that doesn't matter. I'll have to drop the trigger group when I do my cleaning tomorrow.

This is the first gun I've ever purchased that I considered to be a raging bargain. Though the other week I bought a used Marlin Model 60 (tube fed semi auto 22LR rifle) for $69.55, tax and everything. 22" barrel, 18 round tube, very cool. Maybe this is a sign of things to come.

Now if only I could find a 3" Ruger Security Six for $300 :D .

I'd say buy it even though I probly would not. If you want a 44 and you found a ruger for that price I would think it to be a good deal

heck, I'd buy it, but then I've been looking for that exact gun for quite a while. haven't seen a deal on one in months. If you buy it to resell, then you stand to make about $150. if you just buy it because it's a good deal, then you stand to lose about $300. Lol.

If you actually want it, then buy it.

As promised, picutures of my $300 Redhawk...

... actually, more like $225, figuring the nylon shoulder holster, case and 50 rounds of 44 Mag JHPs are worth $75 at least  .

I'll be posting similar pics in a new thread sometime.

EDITED TO ADD: 86 to 0? This must be the most one-sided pole in THR history!

BUY IT!! Then the "two week rule" starts. If you can hide it in plain sight for two weeks and she asks "what is this?" You can say "This old thing? I've had it for ever."

buy it, if your wife doesn't like that you bought it (or you don't really want it) argue its resale value, if you can't keep it for either of those reasons just buy it so that you can resell it for profit.

edit: congrats on the new revolver, shes a beaut'

I don't care what anyone says abut rugers, I think they're sexy :D

Hey guys, read the posts. He's bought it already. Great gun and awesome price! I've got the same one with the 7.5" barrel. I too prefer the wood grips.

You probably made the right call if you want a 44 mag. Anyone who shoots much centerfire revolver probably should have either a 41 or 44 mag. I have a blue one in 41 mag which I like.
