I am an open carry advocate. I know from personal experience it makes the B.G. think before attacking me! The only problems I have had were Terry Stops by the local PD! I do wish they would teach them the law before putting them on the street! Every encounter I have had with civilians has been positive! Most just ask if it's leagle and I then get to say yes! Please support it even if you don't do it! We support CC laws!

The only people it freaks out around here is law enforcement! And that is because they don't know the law! Why don't you worry about that! If you do not support OC, you are helping the anti-gun crowd! I feel little sympathy for gun owners who are afraid to open carry where its leagle! The key word being afraid!

Are you speaking from personal experiences you have had while you were open carrying, or just parroting what you have heard?

My personal experience while actually open carrying myself is more like krupparms. I've had one Terry Stop by LEO. Almost all my encounters with civilians has been positive, and 90% of the few negative encounters I have had have been with concealed carry guys who can't resist the urge to tell me they have a CPL, they carry their gun concealed and I should too.

The majority of negativity I have seen/read/heard comes from people who have never experienced anything while open carrying or have never done it themselves. Personal opinions are fine. Deciding for yourself how you want to carry based on those personal opinions is fine. But I take exception of someone telling me what my actions causes when they have never done it themselves, and they have never been with me to observe what affects my actions have.

I think he is referring to the responses telling us all the bad things that WILL or HAS happened when someone ELSE opens carries. How can they know what it's like for me when they haven't been with me when I open carry?
