Just wanted to wish all the dads out there a Happy Fathers Day!

Especially those who taught their youngsters the proper handling and responsibility of owning a firearm. :)

May those lessons be carried on to the next generation!

May you be proud of those accomplishments!

If you would, share your stories of the first intro into firearms for your child(ren). :)

I started mine with pellet guns in a basement range. Both did tag a long trips to range and mountains. Then, we went to .22's. Bought 30-30's for first legal deer trips. Funny, after first real trips the graduated to 30-06 and .270.
Been the same for years. Real proud of them!

Started the kids out with a Daisy air rifle then moved them on to .22s when they were 7 or 8 years old. My son wanted a semi-auto rifle , my daughter opted for a semi-auto pistol. Let them pick out what they liked the best. Both are great shooters and I'm glad they enjoy the same thing that I enjoy and the times we have spent together at the range.
