Nice find. I recently got 150 400gr jfp for 45-70 500 large rifle primers 600 large pistol primers and 40 Freedom arms 360 gr jfp for 454 Casull. $20.
I love garage sales

Wow. Good job. All I ever find at garage sales are children's clothing that at least make decent barrel cleaning patches.

Tip....look around the garage for stuff linked to hunting/fishing/camping.
If there is and it's a senior citizen, ASK. They may be someone getting rid of a late spouse's stuff. A lot of times, they forget about it. I've done this for years.

I came across a garage sale where the family was clearing out the house of their dad who was a reloader. They just piled stuff in boxes and I offered $50 for all, which included:
-- 870 mag extension
-- chrome snap caps in all shotgun gauges
-- dies for several pistol and rifle calibers
-- handgun reloads in .45ACP, .38Spl, .44mag (~600 rds)
-- bullets for .45 and .44
-- 12ga reloads

In other yard sales...
1. A widow fetched a Winchester .22LR rifle she'd forgotten about from somewhere in a closet of her husbands stuff. Took it home.
2. The seller said he had some wall-hangers... old SxS of some sort with rust. Let him keep those.

Regardless, I always ask.

My last garage sale find was

220 38 special brass
250 357 brass
220 44mag brass
1000 CCI large pistol primers
6 mtm ammo boxes

All that for the tidy sum of $40. Love me a garage sale.

Pretty good find, I don't have anything that'll take those calibers but I'm sure that you got your money's worth and would have no problem getting your money back if you decided to pass those rounds along to another.

Good haul. 38 special isn't cheap. Ammo cans used to be, but no more. 25 ACP is neat too.

You did good. I have found a little bit of stuff at garage sales but have done much better at Estate Sales. You have to look in all the old boxes in the garage and out buildings. I found 5 unopened bags of 218 BEE brass a couple of years ago in a box in an out building at an estate sale that was just mixed with a bunch of trash & junk. Check containers and buckets I have found a lot of cast bullets stored like that.

In the last year or two I've found that garage sales are the hidden gems of our time. You really can avoid buying many things retail if you just stock up on stuff in garage sales. I bet I 'saved' over a few thousand dollars last summer on useful stuff that I ultimately need or use...

Typically find lots of useful and very cheap stuff, from music to movies to tools and power tools, buckets of nails for a few dollars, sleeping bags, tents, gas cans, etc..... Can typically fill the back of my SUV with incredibly useful stuff for a couple $20 bills.

Always ask about camping and hunting gear.

Found a Mauser last summer, excellent condition. $150.

Also picked up an ammo can for $2.

I got a .22 Springfield bolt action rifle, a broken Winchest 1400 12 gauge shotgun, and a box full of pistol magazines, various ammo, some rifle stocks, slings, and scopes last summer all for $100. I traded the shotgun, which needed a new forearm and had a broken trigger guard, for a kayak, which I then sold for $300 cash.

Good buy. There are couple boxes of Hansen brand that I haven't seen in many years.

Nice score! I never find the estate sales/garage sales with the good stuff.

All I ever find that's gun related is always priced 50% over the highest loc shop.

I can't do the yard/estate sale grind. I have a friend who makes his living doing it, he is not interested in guns or shooting stuff. Last weekend was not very productive. He paid $2 and I paid him a finders fee; $5 for these. Joe
