Empty case collection

Anybody else here collect empty cartridge cases? Looking at my collection, I have:

Rimfire:

Centerfire pistol:

• .32 ACP
• .380 ACP
• 9 Mak
• 9 Luger

• .38 Special
• .357 Mag
• .30 Tokarev

• 10mm
• .45 ACP
• .44 Special
• .44 Mag
• .45 LC
• .50 AE

Centerfire rifle:

• .223
• .30 Carbine
• 7.62x39
• .30-30
• .35 Rem
• .270
• .303 Brit
• 7.62x54R
• .30-06
• .308 Win
• 8mm Mauser
• 8mm Mannlicher Rimmed (I think)
• 7mm Rem Mag
• .45-70 gov't
• .50 Beowulf
• .300 Savage

And in shotgun, a measly 12ga and .410.

Unfortunately, these are all loose. But I want to get a cartridge board for them.

Anybody else have a collection? How about one that rivals mine?

I think I reload almost that many.

No, I don't collect empties, but I do collect complete cartridges, with some empties as place holders until I can get a complete cartridge.

I have maybe 250 individual caliber examples in my collection, and another probably 150 to 200 repeats with interesting head stamps.

I found 20 cases at a old farm.

Could be anything. The 43m seems to indicate production during WW II, so it could be .303, .380/200, .45 ACP, 9mm, or possibly one of several other calibers, including .30-06.

What does it look like?

That Dominion-made "43M" case you've got is a commercially-loaded 11.15 x 60R Mauser, also known as .43 Mauser.

Yeah, but in the unloaded state, there's no real danger when I shoot them with my airsoft guns, which I do.

Handgun: .45acp, 44mag, 22lr.

I have shot a 9mm but I don't have the case.

I think that is about it.

I got more junk brass than I know what to do with. If it looks once fired or unusual I pick it up. Some body might need it some day. Lookin at my shelf I see

No steel or obvious junk.Piece count varies from one to a couple thousand. It was cool at first collecting them but now it just looks like a pile of junk.

I have a few - but they all have signifigance.

For 9mm
-1st round I ever fired - Baretta 92
-1st round that went through my Walther P99 at the factory
-1st round I put through that gun

For .357
-from the round that grazed me and put a scar on my leg

For .380
-First time I fired a .380 - S&W snub J-frame, 7 round wheel

For .45
-First .45 I fired - Springfiled 1911 M1

For .50
-First .50 I fired, - DE

That's all I gots, fer now.
