Okay my name is MagnumDweeb, and I had a 'panic' granted it was a reloading panic but...nonetheless I fell prey to the 'panic'. And I started hunting on-line for reloading components before I found myself back at cabelas. I checked my order history and realized of the ten items I ordered two months ago, all but two have arrived (small rifle primers, and large pistol primers).

Granted I'm stocked to the gills but still...I'm a pack rat and opening that case of .357 Magnum was just too much for a little bit and I was being silly. Most folks aren't that fortunate to have a 'k' of .357 magnum laying around. And I got worrid over .38 special because those who have it are charging insane amounts for it if they aren't wal-mart who isn't necessarily cheap by any stretch.

I went ahead and place another big order(to justify Hazmat) with cabelas, they've been good to me so far, and I'm sure when they get it in they'll get it to me. Ordering from them rather than giving into the vultures on gunbroker, will save me a small mint. I just won't touch my stock of .38, .357, and .45 ACP (got plenty of powder, cartridges, and primers, and okay on projectiles, I just want more factory fresh), and learn to love my Tokarevs in 7.62x25 more(great guns and i've got over 5k of ammo) and shoot more .22lr cause I can still find bricks(550 rounds) at Walmart for less than $20. Maybe finally break down and get a .22lr rifle and take more time to enjoy the little round.

The panic has started to crest, the local Walmart has good stock of ammo in by my house(granted the one near my new lady friend hasn't faired so well) has been having more and more ammo in, and I feel silly for buying 2k of 9mm at .24 cents a round when I could have bought Winchester White box at .22 cents a round at the Walmart (granted I got Federal, and got it really early). So now it's just time to wait and bide my time and chill out, maybe get into bullet casting, I've done reloading and it's great(I deprime the brass with the lee take it anywhere press while I study and it works my biceps after the first two hundred deprimmings), so now....I will stop buying what I don't need for my NRA classes(.22lr), I will buy no more and contribute no more to the panic.

It's like with the oil crisis, when we all started to buy less, the price dropped (even if it is slowly going back up), so now I'm determined not to buy anymore, I'll lock a k away for each caliber I still have more than a k for, and hold that for my SHTF dread(hey it lets me sleep at night, so it's cheaper than therapy when you do the math), and enjoy what I got. This can't keep up for more than another year and I should focus on my next business that I'll be opening in September, and making sure I get affiliated with a gun shop for my NRA classes. And getting good grades on my law school exams, lol.

Adios 'panic', we are done. No longer should I have to pay more than ten bucks for a box of good quality 9mm, no more should .357 magnum cost me more than 17 bucks, no more should .38 special cost me more than 12 bucks, and I shouldn't have to pay more than 35 cents a round for .223 or fifty cents for .308 Win. And I should be able to find primers in stock wherever I want. Guess I'll have to dust off the old bow and find an archery range.
