Ha my limbsaver, love that thing. I can put it on my 300win mag and makes you feel like your are shooting a 308 and put it on a 308 and feels like a 204

I would not typically like them, hate the look but man they work. It's for real.

You could probably put one of those limbsaver grind-to-fit pads on there.

Yeah I am too cheap. One pad multiple rifles. Just slips off and on ....easy.

Not sure how rough the paint is but a couple of years ago I was in a Gander Mountain store and since I had heard all the rave reviews of the Stevens I decided to check one out.
Upon handling the rifle the checkering on that stock was so sharp it actually nicked (cut) the palm of my hand!!
Pass the sand paper please.

The textured paint is smoother than you would think, plus i have about 4 coats of matt clear coat on top of it which makes it smoother but yet still a good grip surface.

my plain Jane Stevens 200 with a 3x9x50 Nikon shoots dime groups and I have dropped big, big pigs in their tracks with it. it is in 7mm-08, ugly but performs so beautifully. it rides in my truck when I ride and check my cow pastures. gonna put a paint job on it cause replacement stocks are so hard to find. the 200 is one helluva gun for the price. how can you go wrong??:)

I ran across a Stevens 200 for the first time the other day. I'm impressed - I think one in .308 with a Nikon 1-4x would make a great trunk gun!
