He is a Navy guy, first deployment tomorrow on the Nimitz...just a two week cruise ..so took him for some fun.

We shot the new S&W MP15 .223, my Glock 19 and my Bersa 380. It was a good father-son day :D

That's all..just wanted to share a really good experience...

Thanks folks...

I will thank him...told him I was so proud of the man he has become. Really, he has a great heart, smart and besides my son, he has become my friend...

Now, if only I can get my 28 year daughter out there. She is visiting from DC this week, just graduated law school, top of her class, job has been lined up for two years and she starts with a clerkship for a Federal Judge. And she is a screaming liberal...LOL But I love her anyway.

I told her she is going to get over a fear of guns THIS week...maybe we can get a liberal advocate out there...:D...btw..nothing wrong with liberals..I have said I am a liberal conservative and a conservative liberal...;)

For those who said thanks to my son

I always pass it on...he is always amazed when people thank him for serving..I have tried to educate him that it is a measure of respect, not only for him but for our country that we have always been proud to serve to keep her free. That the FREEDOM is what is important. We have our ill's, that is for sure, but we are still the freest nation in the world and thanks goes to those that have stood to defend her...

Right now, he is sailing on the Nimitz doing what needs to be done. His mom and I talked and when he returns, for his birthday, he is getting a S&W M&P 9mm since he enjoyed it so much

He'll love it !

Times like those make special memories. For the record, how did the Bersa shoot? I acquired one recently and have not made it to the range yet.

THe Bersa shoots well

It shoots awesome, nice trigger pull. The sight picture is different than my Glock...You have to bury the target with the sight as opposed to the 6 oclock position like the Glock.

Breaking in, I maybe had one or two FTF...and that may have been the ammo. Since then, I have put maybe 600-700 rounds through it and it works flawless.

I clean it after every day at the range and it is so damn easy. You'll like it !

I use target ammo at the range but for carry ammo, I use the high shock hollow points...
