I had mentioned several times about skeet shooting to a coworker while at the job site. Last week he comes up to me and says he wants to try skeet shooting. We set a time and get to the local club and get settled in. He has a Rem 870 express with mod choke in it. He said he had an I/C somewhere but couldn't find it. Well I go through all the safety jargon which he is pretty good about because he shoots pistol occasionaly and we get started. I tell him the leads and what to do and where to point and start and he ends up with a 15 his first try with a modified choke.
A little rest with some soda and we try it again, 17, not bad. His shoulder is starting to hurt with the federal promo shells so I take my .410 tubes out of my gun and slip in 28 ga for him to shoot. Heavier target gun with lighter loads he ends up with a 20 for his third round of skeet ever.
I think I got him hooked 'cause he's talking about a different gun that kicks less and fits better, and he took home an application to the club to look over. His wife is gonna hate me.
