I own the shield and a G23 and between them they punch all my cc needs, my Sig 1911 is just icing on my cake

the other 3 do nothing for me, my other carry gun that comes out now and then but is really just to make me smile is my Rossi M720 .44 spc.....but that's just the way I am

My wife carries an LCP Gen II and my every day carry is an XDs45 3.3. Both guns are exceptionally reliable.

I just bought a LCP. Like it a lot except for the recoil. Probably will not shoot it a lot for that reason. Put a Laserlyte on it for point and shoot and will practice that at 7 yds. till it's automatic if that's possible.

I much prefer the Ruger LC9P Pro to the LCP. 9MM power, excellent trigger and no manual safety. Great for deep concealment.

Normally, I carry a SIG P226 or Glock 17.

The list makes total sense. The top four have been heavily promoted and discounted sometime in 2016. Any big box store or high volume online dealer has advertised those on sale. Conversely, 150 years after a Mad Max style apocalypse, someone will inevitably still have a functioning G19... or at least that's what some may think! It's no surprise to be on the list as people prepared for a presidency that presumably would have been set against anything hi-cap.

I've owned the top three...still own the XDs (.45ACP). The other two were fine firearms and I'd feel just fine armed with any of them. I'm seriously considering getting another LCP. It definitely fills a niche for me, as it's the only true "pocket" pistol I've ever owned that was actually comfortable in a pocket.

I would have assumed that Glock would have made the list with the G43 G42 or one of the sub-compacts.
Glock waited way too long to release both the G42 and the G43. By then people already had their preferences. I'm a dyed in the wool Glock guy and I already preferred the Walther PPS for a single stack.

Now if they'd released them even 3 or 4 years ago that would probably be a different story.

The G19 just doesn't fit the trend laid out in 1-4.

If you think about it then it kinda does. All are carry guns. Every single one.

#1 - S&W Shield.
#2 - Ruger LCP.
#3 - Springfield XDs.
#4 - Sig 938.
#5 - Glock 19.

The Glock 19 has always been the most popular. It's pretty much THE standard answer for most newbies asking what first pistol they should get on some forums. For some reason the G26 always gets passed over even though it's a little smaller, a little more concealable and a little more in line with a few of the pistols on the list.

That's my guess anyway.

My pocket gun is a Bond Texan 45acp and my hip gun is a 3 1/2" 1911 , that plastic list just makes me sad

Carried my LCP for 6 years before retiring it in favor of the Kahr CT380. Both are very comfortable to carry in my front pocket.

I have a Glock 19 (gen 2) but none of the others . If you can stand the Glock trigger it's about the most concealable 15 round package out there.

I don't own a single one of those, but I have had a KelTec P32 for years.
Beyond that, I don't feel the need or want for any of the others.
