Total Rifle Newbie- WASR? WASR 10? Mauser?

Hello all. I'm new to rifles. I have a Winchester 30-30 that my dad gave me two years ago for christmas, and I love that rifle. Now I'm thinking of buying a second rifle to add to the stock. I'm still in college, so money is an issue. I'm tempted by the 70-100 dollar Mausers I've been looking at. They're in great shape, and a classic rifle.

I must confess I don't know much about rifles. I'm a good shot with the 30-30! There is a local sale on the WASR rifles. Also, a WASR 10 rifle, from between 290 to 350. I understand the WASR-10 takes double stack magazines. Are these the same as AK 47s? Do they share mags?

Yes defjon they are they do accept AK magazines but there is a few things to look for in them that you must be aware of. I would go to Youtube and type in WASR10 and look for a video by survialists boards he is very informative of the common problems and I'm sure more people will chime in on here with the common issues. I own a Romanian WASR 10/63 myself and looked for the common problems and got a good one, for the price you can get it for I'd say jump on one of those.

If you can find WASR-10 rifles for $350 right now, you should buy as many as you can get your hands on.
