My H&R 929 shoots very well in SA but the DA pull is closer to a Nagant revolver. It seems to be the trigger which is a work out for the thumb. So i'm assuming this is a spring issue? How would I go about fixing this problem myself? Thanks, X

It is my feeling that the H&R lockwork was never as highly refined as other more expensive to make designs like the Colt & S&W.

As such, it takes a lot of spring to get reliable .22RF ignition.

I'm afraid lightening the hammer spring much at all will result in mis-fires.

I suggest you live with your DA pull. To have a gunsmith work on it(if he will) would cost you more than that revolver is worth. Just my two cents. :)
