People really need to learn to read.

SINGLE STACK MAGAZINES! This is what the OP requested. Those with double stack magazines are disqualified.

THe S&W MOdel 39 - DA/SA Decocker and single stack

Note: The Illinois State Police was the first major LEO agency
to switch to type action semi-auto -and- go to 9mm Luger. The
original had problmes - ISP and S&W figured it out
and the 39-2 and all that follow have a fine reputation of
rliability, service pistol accuracy. The 39-2 was followed
by the 3913 then the shorty Chiefs Special CS9 and finally
the just discontinued 908.

39(-2) was the first AMeircan made DA/SA 9x19 - early '50s
when the USAF was thinking of replacing the S&W Revolvers.
They have the traditional look, blued and all.

Double Stack - my choice the CZ 75B 1.4" wide is a 1/10"
less than my 1911.

...and preferably single stack
dang fivetwoseven, learn to read yourself. Did he say disqualified? nope, your puting words in his mouth

S&W 39 and it's descendants fit the bill perfectly. I hope to find a nice used one myself one day. Sig 228 and 239 would also work. 239 might be shorter in the barrel than you want.
