This laminated Buckskinner pistol is on sale for $149.95 in the Traditions Bargain Bin. At least they're introducing new & very affordable traditional muzzle loading guns unlike some of the other makers. :)

The Buck Skinner is one of the most rugged black powder pistols available on today’s market. A sleek black laminated stock coupled with a color case hardened Lock give the Buckskinner an authentic look. The .50 cal, 9 ¾” Octagonal shaped barrel , 1/20” rifling twist Buckskinner allows the shooter to fire conical bullets or round balls. The Buckskinner comes standard with durable Metal sights. Don’t miss out on owning such a reliable black powder pistol! Limited quantity get yours before they are gone. Web only special offer!

Agreed

agreed , they do put out allot of affordable guns . CVA is another .
Nota bad lookin Pistola either if your into laminated stocks on traditional Lock guns . Would be a very nice companion gun to the laminated Hawken .50 they sell too .

I had to chuckle at their ardvertizment though , 1 in 20" twist , fires conicals or RB's :D ..... Well yeh of course it does , but it can fire Cherrios and Oatmeal too , doesn't mean they would be accurate out of 1 in 20 " though .
But it has an authentic look ? With a laminated stock ? Come again ? These advertising marketer guys and gals have no clue .

I do like the gun though , and am sure these guns get people into the sport that otherwise could not afford Pedersoli or better . :D

Das Jaeger :D

Buckskinnr pistol

Looks alot like the OLD CVA overcoat pistol with a gussied up stock and Mountain pistol front furniture.

As I recal that CVA pistol was only offered a year or two.

think traditions just has the Spanish pull out the old tooling and jigs every so often.

Love that curly maple stock . . . I understand that the fellow making the rifle for Hawkeye in The Last of the Mohicans had quite a time of it, convincing the director that the curly maple stripes should go crossways, rather than along the length of the gun.

More to the point I'm wondering if this Authentic piece will fit my short, fat hands. In order to get one I must first convince Traditions that "MI" does not mean New Jersey or Canada. Succeeded yesterday with Cimarron (I like Texans), we'll see now if I can convince a 17th Century New Englander.

Yum !!!

I really likes my T/C offering in .45... this one could be a hoot to have too ! Would go nicely with my Traditions .50 Hawken ! Hmmmm... May have to keep an eyeball peeled on this one. Thanks for postin' it.

I'm SLOOOOWLY building a trapper kit. Paid $200 for it. This is a good deal, although I see the brass hardware has been replaced with something black...

I'll have to look into this, I have been very pleased with my Traditions 1858 Remington .44. It's a brass frame model and I have run 100 or so .454 balls through it over the max load of 30 gr. FFg. Still looks amazing and locks up tight.

If anyone buys a new Traditions sidelock, be sure to purchase some replacement nipples to go with it because the original factory nipple will probably crack & split during the first range session. Just ask TomADC and scores of others. ;)

Of course

BHP FAN '' it can fire Cherrios and Oatmeal too...''

ROTFLMAO!!! Jager, you slay me! Can I use that?!

------------

Of course , and you just did anywayz :D

Speaking of stuff flung out of barrels , my old freind has a very old brass frame 51 , Forth of July , he loads full of Holy Black and stuffs big round wads of tin foil into it for bullets , quite a nice light show . Flaming shratnel is very pleasing to behold . I would like to see that out of a 10 gauge BP shotgun sometime too ? The Walker would be quite impressive too , but not in mine :D
The 51 he has is an old beater, its been chain fired so many times , never uses lube , barrel to frame engagement is bent to one side , probably would eventually fire around the corner its so bent . ..But he does have fun , just crazy a little he is . Knowing he has enough blast cord to take down an Iffel Tower is kinda a head scratcher too . That's stuff is pretty neet too .
