So I see that Fausti is now making shotguns for Weatherby, and I think Marlin and that Fausti makes higher and lower priced guns on request, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has a Traditions for some feedback.

I have a line on a SxS elite for a great price, but I can get a new Mossberg Silver Reserve for about the same price.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, I would stay away from both guns. If I remember correctly, Fausti decided to import their own guns to the US and dropped traditions. Now neither company will honor the warranty work. If you buy one and something happens, you are on your own for getting it fixed.

I've heard nothing but horror stories about the Mossberg silver reserve guns. Broken firing pins is a common issue.

For the budget priced guns, check out Lanber at CDNN. They seem to have decent feedback. The other option, is to save the pennies and buy a used B gun, SKB, or something in that price and quality range.

What's a B gun?

I've seen SKB's. They are known to be reliable good quality guns for a fair price. Fair being a double at just over 1,000.00 when most doubles are well over that. The Fausti I'm looking at is just under 600.00

Fausti makes guns to particular price points. Their higher-end guns have gotten good reviews. Their lower end guns do not get the same level of fit and finish

I've handled some Cabela's Fausti SxS guns and I was impressed with how they felt.

That tells you nothing about how they last, though.:)

The Traditions by Fausti shotguns were sold at Walmart for around $550 new.
