What is the name of that 600 yard range down around FLX/MIA area?

Trail Glades was supposed to get a 600 yrd rifle range, however the range master told us a couple weeks ago when we were there that the plans had been canceled.

Okay guys: Range opens tomorrow at 9AM. I surveyed the finished work today and must say that the finish product is a combination of functional and highly dysfunctional engineering. The new canopy is great, range manicured and shooting platform well constructed. Odd, three are made out of cement and the other 50+ out of wood? The platforms have a combination of 18 inch, 4 legged, bar stools or attached swinging seats. On the pistol side, access to your target will be through three lanes, created by lifting shooting platforms,(bar style entry) to walk out. The Range Officers office is the same one, but now sits 45 feet behind the actual shooting area. The visibility from it is poor at best, so safety will depend on the up front range persons. Don't get me wrong it's a great upgrade, unfortunately done by restaurant architects, in my opinion. The old range crew is back and they are some of the best there is as far a looking out for you.

Went to Trail Glades range today. The work they have done is really first rate. The benches on the rifle side are rather strange, but manageable. The range itself is very nice and the canopy prevents the sun and horizon from screwing with your targeting. You are now NOT allowed to shoot your handguns at the rifle side. Even from the sitting position. At the handgun side, there are only six benches were you can shoot from the sitting position, the other 30+, you must stand up. There was a tall gentlemen today, 6'6', and he had to shoot almost down to hit target at 5 yards, due to low front canopy. By the way, the five cement platforms, on the rifle side, are dedicated to individuals who need precise base for electronic equipment. Overall, worth the wait. The best part today was the limit publicity of the opening so only 25% of the benches were occupied. Last point, you can only put one bulls eye in the middle of the target. No multiples even if they are 1 to 3 inches and within the parameters of the provided target. This hopefully will be modified.

i live in lauderdale but was out on 41 yesterday and saw a sign that read gun range just east of krome is this the range you are talking about??? if so how much is it there?? i cant stand markham the robotic like drill instructors annoy me so might be worth the drive.... and how far out are the rifle ranges??

Markham is better than TG. TG won't even let you mark your target!!!
