I'm interested in getting some gun training in NoVa. I'm a decent shot and know how to handle firearms safely. I'm looking for something a bit more advance, but still "entry level".
I'm interested in courses that would help me use my CCW effectively in a variety of situations (personal defense, defense of companions, moving while shooting, changing positions, transitioning from concealed to "ready to fight", etc). I can travel if necessary, but I don't want to go very far. Blackhawk is about 4-5 hours from here. That's doable, but I'd prefer something closer.
I'd also prefer classes that were a single weekend or even "mini-classes" that only took a day. I don't have time to take a week off for a class.
I checked the NRA's website, but they don't seem to offer anything past basic safety classes. They don't even have descriptions of those classes.
