Training to Shoot with weak Hand

Get a grip exercizer thing that they sell for guitarists. It will let you flex each finger individually against a spring so you can practice clinching 3 fingers without inadvertently moving your index finger.

Get more power from your stance, I like to turn almost completely sideways to the target. I let the recoil drive from my locked arm into my tensed shoulder and down to my rear leg.

I do not cant the gun but some people (good shooters I might add) find that helps.

Some people like to tense their other hand against their chest. I see Mas Ayoob doing this and others, but personally I put my off-hand hooked on my pocket or belt.

I've been trying to get good at this. Out of necessity though. My right (strong) arm was severely injured. Doc says what I've got is what ill always have. It barely bends and hurts constantly. I can't shoot high recoiling guns anymore bc of the jarring. So I went to 9mm. I used to be a great pistol shot shooting handguns. Since having to shoot one handed, weak handed I have been struggling tremendously. Its down right pitiful. I've developed a weird way of shooting long guns off a bench that I have become just as good at as before the injury.

Various IDPA stages require use of the weak hand. Once you start training, it's easy to become proficient.

Try practicing passing the gun back and forth between strong hand and weak hand - 3 rounds strong hand, 3 rounds weak hand, etc, etc.
