Can anyone help me in regards to information about sending Powder and Primers from US to Australia. Powder that I use is ADI 2206h and is $300.00 AU for the 4Kg bottle. CCI and FED primers are $57.00 per 1000. I did email Midway USA in regards to some info but haven't received a reply as yet. I have just looked on the net and ppl are saying that ADI 2206h is the same as Hodgdon H4895, can anyone confirm this for me, because if it is the same, the price in the US is $149.00US for the 8lbs tub. Maybe I should move to the States.lol. Cheers for your help:)

I haven't a clue.

But I really seriously doubt shipping a hazardous material to another country halfway around the world is gonna be any cheaper then what you are paying for powder there.

And I'm pretty sure there are import / export tariffs to pay in addition to haz-mat shipping internationally.

Maybe I should move to the States.lol.
If you can act, sing, bar tend, do infomercials, or play professional soccer, I'm pretty sure there is a well paying job waiting for you here! :D

Righto, I just figured (hoping) they'd put it in a box and deliver it. When I get the reply from Midway USA I'll post their reply. I would also like to order some projectiles as they are half price from the states. Nosler Ballistic tip 125gr are $46.00 AU and $18.00 US. It must be fun over there with the fun v's cost factor. I've been told the projectiles shouldn't pose a problem as they are just lead and not HAZMAT. Either way cheers for your replies

In the past I have researched a bit and there are export restrictions on almost all things related to firearms/supplies produced in the US. I do not remember the specifics at the moment but you have to go through a mountain of paperwork it appears just to save a few dollars. That is probably the reason for the increased cost to you, someone has to be paid for the hassle.:) Yes I agree you should just move here and enjoy our many freedoms........
I think that the .gov worries about sending something outside our borders that could then be used against us or our friends in the future.:(

Remember that most of Hodgdon's powder come from Australia to us - stuff gets shipped all the time between the US and Australia - called container ships... ;)

Your both correct, Frogo with his comment on nothing that resembles a bullet can or will be shipped from the US, as I have just recieved an email from Midway USA stating the exact same thing, even though items do get shipped all the time they do not ship to individual people. makes sense but is rather annoying considering the BANG for the BUCK. You guys have semi auto's while we have sling shots. Thanks all for your information. If only I had a friend in the states that could go to Cabela's/Midway and blow some coin for me. :) Cheers anyway

And if someone did that for you, he would most likely be committing a pretty serious crime. Do you really want your friends to commit crimes for you?

In any case, soliciting crimes or encouraging criminal actions is never acceptable here.

More a comment with tongue in cheek than a request for criminal activity. And for the record since hearing back from Midway USA and hearing confirmation from Frogo I have source my projectiles from interstate where they are able to send to my door with no apparent drama's. While I have a cousin in the states I understand that it would be an offense to try and import a restricted item from the states to me in Oz. I have bitten the bullet so to speak and sourced elsewhere. Cheers for the check up though Frank.;)

Seems there is always someone (.gov) to take the wind out of ones sails.:( I understand it is a felony to export such things out of the USA unfortunately. Even if you were to come here to visit and return there with them it seems. Yeah semi auto, full auto, and handguns allowed most places in the US is so much fun.:D
