I have a question about transporting my deer hunting rifles.I live in Pennsylvania and have family in Florida.I drive down interstate 95.Am I violating any laws if I transport my rifles to Florida for some hog and deer hunting there?
If a person desires to comply with the Federal Firearms Owners Protection Act (18 USC 926A) the ammunition gets locked up separated from the occupants of the vehicle, not necessarily the unload gun.
Unloaded gun, box of ammo, locked in the trunk of the vehicle - complies with FOPA.
Unloaded gun locked in trunk, box of ammo in glovebox - does not comply with FOPA.
