Traveling from KY to SC this summer. CCDW similarity?

Hi all. Don't post on this section often. Usually in the black powder, shotgun and revolver sections. Family vacation coming up this summer to the beach in the Charleston SC area (traveling by two cars). All of us are excited, and for what it's worth, I myself refuse to travel to, through, or leave any of my money in a state that doesn't recognize my KY CCDW. We will be going through TN, NC, and SC and I insist on practicing carry to help protect my family, as will my wife and son-in-law during the trip.
We each respect individual states specific rules on carry, and sometimes our KY laws aren't the same as others with CCDW laws. Planning on site-seeing at museums, some restaurant dining (where alcohol might be served as part of the menu), grocery store shopping to cook some on our own, staying in a condo on the beach, and side trips to build memories with our 6 year old granddaughter. Can someone please direct me to a site that will compare and contrast laws for carry I can study before our trip? Just a website would be appreciated. Thanks so much. Don.

This may get complicated for me. I have learned that yes, our permits are honored, but I need to see if, for example we can carry legally in a restaurant where alcohol is sold, a grocery store that also sells alcohol, in museums and public sports arenas, etc. Some states for example say that it's OK to carry where food amounts to at least 50% of sales but not less, essentially preventing carrying in a bar ( we don't go to bars ourselves so this doesn't really affect us). Maybe I ned to contact TN, NC and SC law enforcement agencies to ask for a copy of the rules. Don

I hear this suggestion often, but don't quite understand. What's the benefit of having legal information printed off the Internet with you? Do you think it could make a difference if shown to a misinformed law enforcement officer?

Not all that likely, but if you have it with you you can double-check yourself before walking into that restaurant, or entering a state park, or when contemplating a "gunbuster" sign on some establishment, etc., etc. (Or, if you're some place like NC, when part of a funeral procession, attending the circus, entering a bank and all the other oddball locations that are off-limits!)

There's not a whole lot you can do about a cop who doesn't know the laws himself, but you'll be far more likely to stay on the right side of the gray bars if you know the laws and have a handy reference to double-check yourself in times of uncertainty.

Most importantly, know which states require you to inform the officer upon first official contact, and which states you don't unless asked. For some reason, out of state plates often get pulled over for speeding, sudden lane weaving, etc.

No CWP in places like Olive Garden, Chilis, tec.; any place that sells alcohol for on premises consumption. You can carry in the car, without a CWP, in the glove box or console as long as they are closed. These locations are (glove box and console) are selled out in the statutes.
