I have an upcoming trip where I will be traveling from North Carolina to Nevada. I will be going through NC(home state and have a conceal carry permit). Will be making stops in Tenn, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and then Nevada. I will be staying in Las Vegas for several days. I have researched all the state laws and it appears that all the states I am going through have reciprocal agreements or honor North Carolina's permit. However, how about Las Vegas? Can you take it to your room in the hotel/casino? Or, should leave in car that is parked in their garage? From what I read, it should not be an issue as Nevada honors North Carolina's permit. But, I don't won't to be in violation of local laws. Thanks for any advice.

IIRC, your hotel room is your home.
Now, if you want to see the real NV, take Hwy 50 from Ely to Fallon and then Carson City before heading down 395 to Vegas

From my understanding, no problems with your NC CCW being honored throughout Nevada.

From my experience locally, many of us local CCW holders have and continue to carry in the resorts, and nothing in NV law prohibits this. Theres a small list of technically prohibited places, like most states (govt buildings, libraries, day cares etc.)

However, I'd keep in mind that the resorts on the Strip have become very edgy and cautious on the subject since Oct. 1 of last year. They are all technically private property and while their security can't disarm you, they can and sometimes will ask you to leave if it comes to their attention. Most are pretty polite about it, some are not.

Feel free to PM me for more on the local experience, where you are staying will have a lot to do with what the reaction might be.

Sounds like a great road trip and I hope you enjoy your time here in Nevada. I live in Las Vegas and travel all throughout the state and its a fine place with many great people.
