This was somewhat of a "proof of concept" project for me. Plus I got a decent deal on the base revo, so can splurge a little on gear. I've become a big T-grip fan, and I've been curious to try out the Barami to see how it works for spontaneous grab-n-go carry.

My Rossi 68 (square-butt .38 snubby) came with an appalling huge rubber grip. I removed it to see how small the metal frame underneath was, and realized that the rubber grip added a good 1/3" to each direction. It also came with a really junky holster, so that needed fixing.

So, $12 for used (EDIT: NOS) Tyler T-grip and $25 for a Barami Hip Grip, here she is:

What thinks?

T-grip looks new to me. ;)

Looks like it works. I have a 442 set up just like that.

I'm jealous. I wish I could find a revolver like that at the price you paid for it. In Portland,Oregon the least the gun stores would want for a used gun like that is $250-275.00. Can't afford to buy used so I buy new.

Ah, wasn't sure if the grip you sold me was lightly used or new, have edited post accordingly.

I'm about to try the same thing on my S&W 649 Bodyguard; great minds think alike.

Not sure why more folks don't use the Tylers; they don't add any bulk to any of the important dimensions, fit with stock or boot grips, and look pretty spiff. I'm not a fan of the big plasticky grips folks put on J-frames now; seems to defeat the entire point of a small-framed revo.

You should see the huge rubber-ducky that was on my Rossi when I bought it.

Gaucho Gringo: prices like this are just the result of compulsive pawnshopping, to the point where I catch the good deals as they come up, and the staff knows me on sight. Yesterday the clerk at one pawnshop ducked into the back as soon as I walked in; I assumed he must have had something cool come in for me. But then one of the (always flirty) female staffers came right out to chat to me. As best as I can tell, she'd given the other staff standing orders to let her know whenever I came in.

Definitely a sign that I've been pawnshopping too much. Taxman is coming soon, so I'm trying to cut myself off (or back) for the rest of this year.

Sharp!

Slowly but surely my wheelies are getting Tyler Ts and Magna style grips like the Hip Grip. They just look right!

What color T-Grip would go best with a stainless J frame and a black Hip Grip? :D

Unfortunately, they stopped doing the gold-colored anodizing.

However, they now offer a Manganese Bronze T-grip. Pretty cool, no?

Pretty good idea for "grab-n-go" as you put it. No need put on an IWB. I'd want a stainless gun for it, though, like the M88 Rossi I sold to a friend a while back. I can imagine what body sweat would do to a blued finish over time carried right next to the skin.

I prefer to pocket or IWB carry with leather, but the "grab-n-go" concept would work for a lot of folks. Me, I've always got my gun on me, around the house or otherwise.
