A while ago I improvised a trigger-pull gauge. (Some patience, please)
It used a coat hanger, a nylon stuff bag w/ drawstring and a few 1 lb cans of beans.
First verify that the gun is unloaded. Check the chamber again with your finger. This involves pointing the gun vertically, so you don't want a hole in your roof...
You fashion an S-hook from the coat hanger, sizing it so it fits thru the trigger guard and does not scratch the gun when the gun is held vertically.
Cock the gun and hang the stuff bag from the S-hook. It helps if the drawstring is longer than the LOP, so the gun doesn't touch the bag.
Add a few cans of beans to the stuff bag and try to lift the bag off the floor using the gun. If the trigger pulls, the pull weight is less than or equal to the number of cans of beans.
Remove cans until the trigger does not pull. Trigger pull is greater than this number.
After doing this, you will probably buy a trigger pull gauge like I did. Or decide that trigger pull isn't all that important.
