I've never had a trigger job on any of my handguns before. A IDPA competitor/friend recommended a competent gunsmith to me. I'm nowhere good enough to compete but do strive to be the best I can be.
I have a 30+ year old Browning Hi-Power that I bought new and has maybe 1,000 rounds through it. It looks new. I had considered one of S&Ws new 1911 look-a-like in 9mm but remember the Browning and thought a trigger job would be much less expensive. I'm not really worried about voiding the warranty on my HP.
I bought a new S&W 686 7 shot. Trigger on this piece is OK but since I was going to have the Browning worked on thought about tweeking the 686 at the same time.
Just got my Kahr 9 back from warranty work. This got me concerned on what the general consensis was on trigger mods. As a general rule, do manufacturers frown on or at worst void any warranty where trigger mods have been done?
