I planned on putting a Trijicon Accupoint on a 308 bolt rifle. Wanted to get the 20x and love everything about the scope, including Trijicon's website that says it is assembled in the USA. Got ready to buy one and picked it up at Cabelas only to see clearly on the side it says Made in Japan. Now Im not saying Japanese optics are junk, I just don't feel like they would be at home on my all American made Model 70. I guess this is an important thing to me.
So does anyone know if the Accupoint started out being US made and production went across the puddle. And if so were could I find a US made Accupoint. Or have certain models always been made in Japan.
And yes I know assembled in USA probably means with Japanese parts, at least it puts Americans to work.
