Hey guys,

A while back I got a Wilson trimmer on E-bay for dirt cheap. I also have a .204 holder for it, but for some reason, my .204 brass wedges in and the shell won't seat all the way. It's pulled factory brass I was just playing with, I wonder if fresh unfired brass would be different?

Anyhow, I have also been playing with Lee case trimmers and I really like the ease and repeatability of this set up.

But it appears they don't make it in .204.........

Anyone have any ideas for me on how to trim my .204 brass? Can any of the Lee trimmers (like the .222) be modified to trim my .204 brass?

thanks,

The Lee trimmers will not work - inner diameter of the cutting teeth is not small enough for 204.

Check Wilson's website - I believe there are two shell collets for 204 - fired and not fired.

I use a Forster . . . early on, the only brass I could find was on Ebay. Had to trim it all & the Forster worked just fine.

Thanks for the replies gang...

I have a .204 collet for my Wilson trimmer. The case is WAY to big and sticks in the collet.

The case is UNFIRED.

It makes sense to me that it should fot in EITHER collet Wilson makes for the .204. (if the case is unfired, it should be smaller in diameter than a fired case, and should fit in EITHER collet)

What am I missing????

thanks,
