I'm trying to track down a set of tritium sights (ghost ring, front blade) for a Mossberg 500. I checked Trijicon (they don't offer anything) and Meprolight (front blade only). Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction?. I searched this forum and didn't find any info on the subject.

TIA.

Ah yes, Ashley Outdoors. I forgot about them. I just checked their sight and, alas, they do not have any for the Mossy. Thank you for the info though.

you're probably not going to find a tritium rear sight for the mossy.

the best alternative would be to install the mossberg factory ghost rings (which are quite inexpensive, and are just as good as the more expensive MMC type sights) and replace the front plade with one of the tritium units from meprolight or ashley outdoors.

Or, I can just sell my Mossy and get a Wilson Scattergun :)

Seriously, thanks for the reply. At this point, I would have to agree with Andrew. I've had no luck and they should't be that hard to find.

I think I am going to have to get a Scattergun though :)

There is a company called MMC that sells one that allot of people like. Its a winged ghost ring rear sight with two tritium dots on the in the horizontal centerline of the ring. The front sight is also tritium. It was around $100 for the sight i believe. from what i have seem most everywhere says its the best one to buy quality and usaility wise. here is the link Mossberg ghost ring Now that i read it again the tritium is extra

Thank you for the reply Major. I ran across that sight myself after browsing through the tome that is the Brownell's catalog :)

A gentleman I do business with recommended a gentleman by the name of Ted Yost in Arizona for combat shotgun work. When I'm ready I'm going to give him a call and see what he can do with my Mossy 500.

You can, of course, install Wilson's Scattergun Technologies ghost-ring sights on any shotgun. They're available as parts, although a bit expensive. If you want to have a set fitted to your shotgun, try Jon Tank for the work - he's highly recommended (http://www.tanksrifleshop.com/). His catalog gives prices for the sights and for fitting.

I will add a second recommendation for the MMC ghost rings. When I was looking for GR's for my Vang comped Rem 11-87 Police I looked at them all and went with tritium MMC's. I have had them for a few years now and they have proven to be well made and rugged sights.

Ted Yost uses the MMC sights and I trust the person that recommended Mr Yost to me so I'll be going with those for sure. I appreciate the feedback though. Thank you.
