Tritium vs fiber optic

I'm comparing ghost ring sights, (Scattergun Tech), two different types, one tritium, the other fiber optic, (red/green...another decision). I'd think the fiber optic is better in daylight, duh, obviously, the tritium for low light. I'm wondering if the fiber optic is THAT much better in daylight to be overall a better choice. Yeah, the tritium would allow low light shots, (in darkness, if I don't have a flashlight, I'm not shooting). The gun is a 870 Remington, HD/SD, 18" barrel. Since, according to statistics, most 'social work' happens in low/no light situations, does that give the tritium the edge? No light, using a flashlight, I wonder if the fiber optic 'comes back' a bit?

I have found at times around sunrise and sunset that tritium can be seen and it is still bright enough out to identify a target. This was on my pistols. My shotgun has ghost rings and no tritium but it does have a light. Have no desire to change it. If I did, I'd be inclined for tritium over the fiber optics.

I have tritium on my Benelli GRs and here's my take.

Just as with a handgun, there's a narrow spectrum when they're useful and that's when I can ID a target and not see my sights clearly. Once I'm past that and must use a light for target ID, the tritium is of no use.

In daytime I find FOs are much better for speed than standard or tritium sights, and with a light they work just as well in the dark as the tritium.

I do get some use out of my Benelli's tritium sights when shooting beavers on my 9 acre pond, as they're "tactical light intolerant" and dive the minute you hit them with the light. Other than that, I'd mount the FO sights and a good light.
